Established in Medan in the year 1988 under the name PT Anugrah Tambak Perkasindo In 2002, the Company carried out its first Initial Public Offering and subsequently listed all of its shares at the Jakarta Stock Exchange (Company Listings) on 17 April 2002 At the EGMS of the Company dated 7 June 2006 the shareholders of the Company agreed to change the name of the Company from PT Anugrah Tambak Perkasindo Tbk. to PT ATPK Resources Tbk.

The resolution passed at the EGMS of the Company dated 30 November 2006 the EGMS agreed to add the fields of coal mining, oil & gas exploration and to enter into the sector of Independent Power Producer (IPP) the Company commenced its investment in coal sector by acquiring PT Modal Investasi Mineral (MIM) which MIM had already owned 6 (six) subsidiary companies, namely: PT Saptajaya Menjak Sengewari (SMS), PT Mega Alam Sejahtera (MAS), PT Sarana Mandiri Utama (SMU), PT Damanka Prima (Damanka), PT Tuhup Coal Mining (TCM) and PT MIM Geoservices Technology (MGT)

the EGMS of the Company dated June 30, 2007 agreed to increase the paid-up capital of the Company through Right Issue I and to provide free Warant to the registered shareholders who are entitled

In November 2013, the EGM of the Company which opened on November 22 and closed on November 26, agreed:
  • Approved the capital increase of the Company's issued and paid capital through the Limited Public Offering II ("PUT II") by issuing a Pre-emptive Rights.
  • Approve investments directly by the Company at PT Mega Alam Sejahtera (subsidiary) for the purpose of purchase of heavy equipments and the provision of compensation for coal mining infrastructure with PT Pacific Prima Coal.
  • Approve material transactions and affiliations between PT Mega Alam Sejahtera and PT Pacific Prima Coal in connection with the purchase of heavy equipment and the provision of compensation for coal mine infrastructure.
